You’ll complete your story form to share more about you, your child & the specific issues you’re having. Meanwhile, we’ll text you with pre-visit educational videos and digital forms.

From there, our entire team (DDS, SLP, MYO, CLC) reviews your story form. We'll text you if we have any questions, but quickly offer your first discovery visit over text.

What happens BEFORE your first appointment
We review and completely prepare before you step foot into the health:latch clinic.
- This includes a collaborative team discussion about YOUR STORY and completion of all the administrative tasks associated with most healthcare visits.
- We also contact all of your healthcare providers beforehand to get a complete medical history and thoroughly understand your specific needs.
This saves valuable time once you arrive at health:latch.
- We’ve streamlined our entire process to make the most of every minute we spend together. We can then focus on your deeper questions and actionable resources that will help you thrive.
DURING your first discovery visit
We'll cover a lot in an educational 1-hour appointment, including:
- Detailed education on your baby's health history
- Gut health & reflux
- Structural/functional health
- Feeding difficulties
- A deep educational evaluation of lip, tongue & buccal restrictions
- Oral motor movement
- Solid-food readiness & transition
- Swallowing efficiency & safety
- Resting oral posture

What to expect AFTER your first visit with us
- After reviewing YOUR STORY with you in person, we’ll recommend a comprehensive care plan and next steps uniquely tailored to you & your baby.
- We’ll also schedule your next appointment(s) and keep you posted every step of the way.
